The Tutor Training Website: Resources for Coaching Teams, Conducting Tutorials, and Teaching Cases

Abstract
This seminar will provide an overview of a tutor training website developed by members of the Department of Management & Marketing, which has been used to train over 70 tutors and lecturers. This teaching innovation won the Faculty’s 2009 Team Award for Teaching Excellence, and has been published in the Journal of Management Education. It will show how the website can be used to enable tutors and early career teachers to acquire team coaching skills to help students form teams, identify performance problems and resolve conflict. The seminar will also present a range of other resources that are available on the website – video clips, resource packs, exercises, etc. – which can be used to enhance tutoring and teaching skills.
