In business, economics and management disciplines, using case studies in the classroom is a staple of good teaching and learning practice. Case studies are to business education what US scholar Lee Shulman, previously President of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching calls a signature pedagogy – a way of teaching and learning that is tied to the culture of the discipline and professions. In this 3 day MasterClass, you will learn how to use cases effectively in your teaching. Led by Professor Jim Erskine, this unique learning experience will give you an opportunity to share ideas and experiences, to learn from and critique each other’s teaching practice and to learn how to integrate cases in subject design.
