Peer-Assisted Study and Skills IntegrationFor students enrolled in Organisational Fundamentals and Financial Decision Making.

Overview The Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program provides an opportunity for participants to build their specific skills through practice in a supportive small group environment through collaborative work with peers. The Melbourne Graduate School of Management and the Teaching and Learning Unit recognise that leadership and communication skills are not generic, rather they are specific to an individual student’s predisposition. The Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program offers small groups, facilitated by a trained peer Leader. In the groups students can review collaboratively the academic content presented in Organisational Fundamentals and Financial Decision Making. To register your attendance at one of the groups, please access the registration database.
All PASSI sessions will be conducted in tutorial rooms located on the Upper Ground (UG) floor of the ICT building. If you are unfamiliar with the ICT building, please refer to the map of UG rooms.

Who is eligible to take part?
The Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program is available to graduate students enrolled in the subjects Organisational Fundamentals and Financial Decision Making.
Who are the Peer Leaders?
The Peer Leaders are current students who have achieved strong academic outcomes in their graduate study. Peer Leaders have received training in peer learning practices such as small group activities and facilitation.
Will I get answers to academic questions and help with the exam?
You won’t get answers to academic questions or help with the exam in the Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program. If you have questions about the academic content of Organisational Fundamentals and Financial Decision Making you should speak with your subject lecturer.
What you will get in the Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program is an opportunity to share questions and ideas with peers. Through the process of collaboration, you can resolve many questions and enhance your learning.
What if I miss one of the sessions?
Your attendance at the Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration sessions is voluntary. If you have registered your attendance at a session that you cannot attend, please let your Peer Leader know.
What skills will I develop in this program?
Everyone has a unique skills set and a unique predisposition towards aspects of professional leadership skills. In the program you will have a chance to identify your strengths and the areas you would like t develop through practice. The Peer Assisted Study and Skills Integration program gives you an opportunity to practice the skills areas you wish to develop through practical activities undertaken with the support and coaching of your peers.
