Workload

The normal workload of a full-time student enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce is 50 points per semester, generally consisting of four 12.5-point subjects.

The minimum study time commitment required for each 12.5-point subject is nine hours. This represents two hours of independent study for each hour of lectures and tutorials in the Faculty, a total commitment of 36 hours per week. That is, If you have two lectures and one tutorial in each of your four subjects that's 12 hours, plus you must complete a further 24 hours each week (minimum) in independent study.

This workload recommendation is the minimum expected; students who do not make this commitment throughout the semester are less likely to achieve to their full potential. Learning programs in the Faculty are designed with this study commitment in mind.
