Lectopia (Lecture audio streaming)For some subjects in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, you can download an audio recording of each lecture from the subject's homepage. These audio recordings are usually available 1-2 days after the actual lecture. To listen to the audio recording, you must have QuickTime installed on your computer and it must be configured for streaming. The following link provides instructions to ensure that QuickTime is configured correctly on your computer: http://www.infodiv.unimelb.edu.au/tss/lectopia/oca.html. Some subjects also make their lecture recordings available as an MP3 file, which you can download onto your iPod or compatible portable music player. Audio recordings of lectures allow you to revise a lecture during the semester, or to review previous lectures as preparation for the end-of-semester exam. Lecture recordings are not a substitute for attendance; rather they're designed for revision. Information will be given to you at the start of semester on accessing the recorded lectures if the service is available for the subject. |
